We are currently hiring an Underwriting Analystto join our Medical Funding team within one of our most prized subsidiaries, Echelon Medical Capital. Echelonoffers liquidity solutions for medical receivables and medical liens. With its various products, Echelon offers innovative and superior liquidity solutions for the medical industry including doctors, hospitals, and surgery centers.

Roles and Responsibilities
Independently process case/claim submissions from intake through funding.
Underwrite and evaluate submissions for compliance with internal eligibility parameters, including a detailed review of medical bills, medical records, and liability documentation, as needed.
Develop positive and productive relationships with customers and their support staff.
Perform docket and attorney searches in state and federal courts throughout the United States.
Update internal database to properly document case/claim information.
Provide direct support to senior paralegal and underwriting attorneys.
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail is essential to the success of this role. Must also have the ability to work in fast-paced environment while maintaining professional, quality work product and self-starter aptitude.
Paralegal certificate helpful but not required. Experience at a personal injury firm or other litigation underwriting experience is preferred.
Familiarity with medical procedures and/or medical coding would also be beneficial.
Must have professional phone skills and computer proficiency, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred
Paralegal Certificate preferred
